"I commend the brave work of our local, state, and national law enforcement to bring a suspect into custody for invoking this most recent episode of political violence. There is no place in our country for such heinous acts and I fully condemn extremists on all sides of the spectrum. In such volatile times we must remember that so much more unites us as Americans than divides us. Leadership starts at the top and political leaders have an important role to play. Future generations are counting on us to get this right, every public official and every citizen must come together to demand peaceful debate in our national discourse."
